‘I’ve always loved to escape, whether it was through walks, books, films or dreams, and it’s only now that I realize that’s what I’ve been doing this past decade. I’ve been creating portholes into my other worlds’ Janet Cardiff in The Walk Book

Renowned Canadian artist Janet Cardiff, known for her audio walks and installations works, constructs intricate, intimate and uncanny worlds which play with audience perceptions of time, place and perspective. She joins Chamber Made Artistic Director Tamara Saulwick for a conversation about ideas, practice and creative process.

Chamber Made acknowledges the traditional owners of the land on which we are based and where we make work, the Boon Wurrung and Woiwurrung (Wurundjeri) peoples of the Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to Elders past and present and to all First Nations people throughout Australia.
